Carol Dawson Training and Mediation Consultancy is an Approved Open College Network Training Provider and a member of the Midlands Mediation Network.  As a qualified and professional Trainer and Mediator I have delivered training to Registered Social Landlords and Local Authorities in Coventry, Warwickshire and the West Midlands for many years.  I deliver the Open College Network (OCN) Training Programme in Mediation Skills and also design and deliver a wide range of bespoke training programmes to meet the needs of the client.  I have extensively trained and practiced in all aspects of mediation including Community, Workplace, Service user-Service provider and Disability Conciliation.  Courses include:

Open College Network (OCN) Training in Mediation Skills (6 days) - successful completion of this comprehensive course provides the recognised qualification needed to practice Community or Workplace Mediation. It is ideal for organisations wishing to develop their own in-house Community or Workplace Mediation service and/or implement the effective use of mediation within the workplace and/or with clients or service-users.

OCN training Programme in Mediation Skills (2 days) - this comprehensive course provides a recognised qualification and teaches the skills needed to manage low-level conflict and gives a solid understanding of the mediation process.

Training programme in Mediation Skills (2 days) - this course is the same content as the previous one but does not require the completion of a portfolio and self-study is not required. 

Mediation Skills (1 day) - this is a valuable course for giving front line staff an insight and understanding of mediation and its benefits.

Mediation awareness (1/2 day) - this short course covers the benefits and the process of mediation and teaches the skills to understand when mediation is appropriate and how to recommend it to clients.

I am also an experienced Relationship Counsellor/Counsellor, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Life Coach and this diversity of skills, knowledge and expertise enhances the training I provide to clients.
